I keep seeing art and cosplay of dresses based off ponies or the fucking tardis.
All I want is something based off a giant robot. Like a tasteful Mazinger Z with a mini and knee highs. Or a shocking Gurren with a slit up to the thigh.
If someone makes me art I’ll sure as hell cosplay it. Bonus points for including wings, tiara and/or rocket punch.
So this isn’t a dress, but I still desperately want a Starscream-themed flight jacket
if I could sew better I’d say we should just say fuck it and start a business of giant robot themed cute outfits.
I would be very interested in seeing these designs. The Gurren sounds particularly entertaining.
(I’m now imagining getting a ridiculously oversized Optimus Prime jacket, and when someone starts bugging me, I just curl up in side of it and say, “I’m a truck now, go away.”)
One day I’m going to win a lot of money then open up a costume clothing line right
And every costume will have four styles: Normal accurate male version, sexy male version, normal accurate female version, sexy female version. They will all be available in sizes extra small to 5x. That way, no matter who you are, what size you are, and what your preference to style of costumes is, you’ll find a version that you can rock.
Like I’m plus sized and I personally love sexy versions of costumes - I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but they entertain me and I think they’re cute. I have friends that like the same characters and concepts but would prefer something that isn’t a tiny skirt with your breasts pushed out. THAT’S WHY I’D MAKE BOTH VERSIONS FOR THEM ALL.
Also two of my guy friends complain that there aren’t many sexy guy costumes that aren’t complete jokes or made for male strippers/lingerie. So I’d have to get a handle on that shit too.
Holy crap, I wish I could fund this. If I had money, I WOULD fund this. Damn.
I’d back this.
Just a few things I wanted to share.
KILL ME NOW
wow this iS REALLY HOT
i want all of these, but especially the bottom two
I found the sauce
Anyway it looks like they’re 99-110 Euros.
Wait, really? That’s… actually not a bad price for such fancy-ass coats. Hmmm…
…i think i might be having sexual feelings about these boots
Always reblog the wingy boots
ty for reminding me to wear my rad boots tomorrow
VERY HIGH LEVELS OF WANT
someone buy these for me, theys go great with my outfit right now
I always liked the hover boots.
…Except for the fact that getting them meant I had to go through the Shadow Temple. Those were… those were bad times.
So this finally happened…
DesignTaxi: Prada Menswear Goes Steampunk This FallPrada has recently launched its Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign for their menswear—which features a stunning collection of steampunk inspired clothing—modeled by Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe.
According to Prada’s website, “The campaign—shot by David Sims—layers different codes of dress in a subtle parody of power and role-play.”
“Exaggerated poses and conspiratorial glances hint at the game, a palm solemnly placed on the heart or into a pocket with precise formality.”
Modeled by four of Hollywood’s leading men, one can imagine them smoking cigars, drinking brandy and playing a game of cards while discussing gentlemanly affairs.
Say what you will about Steampunk becoming overdone, ridiculous, and trivialized, but these are nice outfits. Plus, Willem Dafoe.
Usually, I have some little comment to make contesting one or two items in a spread like this.
Not this time. These are all just damned nice.
NO BUT THAT TOP LEFT ONE IS JUST INCORRECT
WHY WOULD YOU HAVE A ZIPPER INSERTED BETWEEN THE BIB OF A BIB SHIRT
THAT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE GODDAMN BIB
Lower Left though looks like Joe-era City fashion, very Equilibrium.
I noticed the bottom left one as well; it very much looks like something out of sci-fi. Would fit into Mass Effect fairly well. (The one on the bottom-right has me a bit confused. Isn’t the point of a double-breasted coat to pull the coat in tighter, against the cold, the wind, and the rain?)
Oh wow, this is a pretty picture Those are henna designs on her hands, yes?
irato asked: Mr. Deflare, as an expert in the ways of fashion, what are your thoughts on these? brokoro-tumblr-com/post/19321875707/scarlet-rain-steampunk-jewellery-by
I’m an expert on nothing fashion-related; I just have my own tastes.
The necklaces look pretty, if a bit morbid. The neck ruffles seem a bit odd to me, but they might look okay on an outfit of similar design. The angel-wing choker is quite lovely.
As for the fashion value of these things? *shrug*
