I need a new roommate! Old roommate (the one I don’t get along with) will be moving out in September.
I’ll get more details when I’m not completely exhausted from a very long, very hot day, but the basics:
Boston, specifically Allston/Brighton
Rent is $585/month without utilities
You would be rooming with two irrepressible gaming-and-lit geeks who work in the publishing industry and who are pretty close to dirt broke
we love cooking and will feed you sometimes (but not all the time) (pitch in by buying stuff sometimes)
Just in case I know any other East Coasters.
(Once again, there’s a temptation to just drop everything and go for it myself, but such an idea is even more untenable now than it was last year.)
So you may remember that a while back I was like OH NO MY HOUSEMATE IS MOVING OUT, I NEED A NEW ONE
Well… now the OTHER housemate is moving out. Maybe. So I need a SECOND new one!
DO YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH GEEKS? DO YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH HOMESTUCK FANS??? Do you want the wonders of LIVING ON YOUR OWN in the GLORIOUS CITY OF BOSTON, MASS?
The apartment is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom with a full kitchen and common room; closest T stop is Harvard Avenue on the B line (you can google as well as I can). It is ideal for anyone who wants a clean, quiet, geek-friendly environment. Note emphasis on “clean” and “quiet” — I am a grad student and the other housemate is a reader, so no loud parties please.
We sadly cannot allow pets or people who smoke. Sorry. No, not even fish. Plants are ok though. That said, hey, if you’re a cosplayer or crafter, it’s as allergy free as you can get!
Rent is $585 / month hot and cold water included; electricity and internet are both $17/month, heat… at its worst was $70 once in January (most of the time it is far less). No condo fee, you just pay first and last month’s rent at signing. Move in is beginning of September; exact day negotiable.
Come on guys, there’s gotta be somebody :(
If I lived in Boston/hadn’t already decided on staying in California, I’d hop on this.
Any followers who live or want to live in the area, take note!
